This event happened when we went to Guadalupe Christian Camp last summer. We were having a family reunion. The girl cousins, on my mom’s side of the family, slept in the same room as us (which was seven girls!). It was almost lunch time, and we were in our room getting ready (after playing basketball). Lynn (my cousin) told us that we were eating patties and hot dogs. We did not believe her. But then Ann ( Lynn’s sister) and Grace ( my sister) made up this cute joke about it:
Ann: “Hey Grace, what are we eating for lunch today?”
Grace: “Patties and hot dogs!”
Ann: “Patties come from cows right”?
Grace: “Yes”
Ann: “They’re the things that we step on, on the road, right?”
Grace: “Well, not exactly, but they do come from cows!”
Then they laughed hysterically. When we went to eat we asked the cook what we were eating. She said, “Patties and hot dogs!” We all laughed so much! And would you believe that Lynn didn’t even know that we were eating patties and hot dogs?
This Thomas Kincaid puzzle was a hard one! But, isn’t it pretty? The picture frame was the hardest part for me. Grace, Paige, Mom, and I worked on this one. We finished it within three days, off and on…in the evenings and before school.
We had more helpers with this one. We finished it within two days, working off and on. Those in the picture above helped work on the puzzle!
For Christmas, I got a “puzzle saver” thingy. It is neat! It is a green, felt square. There are two cardboard tubes that you use to roll it up. Then you use these Velcro straps to hold it together!
I worked hard on this puzzle. I did most of it myself. I woke up extra early to work on it. The white part was the hardest.
It was about a year ago when Grace and I were playing with our American Girl and Life of Faith dolls. I had two girls and Grace had one. Grace’s doll wanted a sister, so Grace and I decided that they could all be sisters for a day. While they were playing, one of the doll “sisters” named Logan, fell down. It was so interesting because I was just holding a small “Bible” (It was Faith’s—Life of faith doll), and a page with this verse fell out.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
I thought this verse was a fitting verse!
The other day, we went walking at a new park. We had just heard about it. The park leads to O.P. Schnabel. We had planned on walking 5 miles, but it turned out that I got a blister. My new shoes gave me a blister. So, we turned back, but Benjamin wanted to climb a tree. He did, and after that we went home. Here’s a picture of my new shoes.

I was having a slumber party with our neighbor. She and I stayed up probably until about 1:30 am. We did not know what to do, but then we decided that we would draw. I was drawing triangles, rectangles, and other shapes, and then I was coloring the different shapes with different coloring pencils. I was drawing and drawing until I was making a mosaic, then I showed it to my friend. She said I was making a “paper mosaic”. The first one was not very good, but I started to make more and more, and they looked pretty good. We were tired, but we had fun making paper mosaics. Have fun making your own paper mosaic. Here is my picture:
